Los Angeles - Mike Curb, one of the most respected and well known music industry success stories in the world, has been approved by the Hollywood Walk of Fame Committee to receive his own star on the Walk of Fame. His recognition represented one of the fastest approval times in history. Of course, he had some major support from Honorary Hollywood Mayor Johnny Grant. Said Grant: " I am proud to call Mike Curb my friend. He stands for so many things and is very accomplished in the world of musical entertainment. He absolutley deserves this great honor."

It wasn't only Johnny Grant that helped to make this happen however. Alfred Bowman, Founder and Executive Producer of the annual Los Angeles Music Awards, lobbied hard for Curb's approval. " No one deserves a star on the Walk of Fame more than Mike Curb. This man is the ultimate independent artist. He has become a mogul as an independent. He represents the dreams of every aspiring musical artist in the world: that you can make it in this business if you just really believe in yourself and have a strong faith," said Bowman. The 17th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards will act as Curb's sponsor for the presentation of the Star.
