And possibly most important, Mike, by featuring your highly respected and esteemed name to this college, I am personally able to address your dream and your message to students regarding the value of staying in college, getting their degrees, and then returning their educational experience back to the industries and the communities where they live and serve. Also, as the public face of the Mike Curb College and a laboratory space for all aspects of the College’s academic excellence and distinction, the new Imagine The Arts Center … perpetual and integral link to the Mike Curb College as a lab, learning center and academic resource, formalizing and memorializing the College’s dedication to excellence and opportunity in arts, media and communication education.
Equally as important, however, this new Center will position and showcase the creativity and excellence that define the Mike Curb College, it’s students and alumni, the University, and the heartbeat of the music and entertainment industries that nationally define this Southern California region.

Mike and Linda, the Mike Curb College and the Soraya have partnered in the facilitation of robust academic programing at CSUN– serving to deepen student engagement with various facets of the arts and performing arts. From concerts that showcase world class performers, to theatre productions, and College Art Gallery exhibitions housed within Soraya Gallery, the partnership is deep and facilitates innovative student experiences by design. I have been an executive in the largest university system in the country (the California State University or CSU) for nearly 17 years and I have yet to see anything like what this incredible College and partnership has become.
